I suppose I should start by saying thank you to Brazil for
hosting a wonderful, and a very memorable World Cup as well as congratulations
to Germany for winning and playing like champions throughout (not that I
haven’t heard this more than enough from my work colleagues).
I myself am an England fan living in Germany, and having
watched the final with some German friends, I found myself feeling very strange
at the final whistle. By all means I was happy for them but I found myself
wondering, just how does it feel to have such a dream fulfilled. Luckily it’s
only 3 years and 10 months until I get another chance to find out.
On to the serious stuff then. First off an announcement that
we will be at the Awisa exhibition between 6-9 August in Brisbane, Australia.
“The exhibition is the must-see event for everyone in woodworking and
associated industries and professions. Furniture manufacturers, cabinet makers,
kitchen manufacturers, door, window and moulding manufacturers, joinery
manufacturers, architects, designers, shop and office fitters, builders, and
other wood, timber and panel processing industries are welcome to attend.”

In terms of new developments I can also announce the
imminent arrival of the new Palette MOVE version 2 app across Android, iOS and
Windows mobile devices. It will make it even easier to share your plans with
potential customers and get those sales closed. It will also be integrated into
another brand new feature, Palette CLOUD available with version 8.2. For those
of you already using the original app, simply update the current version.
The idea is to give our users access to their own virtual
memory storage. Here the user can upload their MOVE and PLAY files, which can
then be passed on to their customers simply per web link, removing the need for
end user of needing to download any apps themselves.
Palette CLOUD will be further developed over the coming
months, with one of the major goals in version 9 of Palette CAD being library
storage and updating directly from our servers. Our claim has always been that
we have made CAD easy to understand and use, with CLOUD we will be making our
updating and customer interaction just as simple.
